Ndisezeni kwiqula lamayeza,
Nam ndiphile ndiphol’ amanxeba,

Mfazi mni na lo uvath’ ezimnyama?
Mtshakazi mni na lo ungumhlolokazi?
Ubonwe ntoni nguThixo yena yedwa?
Wone ntoni kuThixo yena yedwa?

Ebutsheni bam ndona ntoni kuThixo?
Lent’ ukufa othunywe nguThixo endoxuthileyo……
Wandijajisa emehlwen’ abafazi ndimtsha,
Wandenz’ intlekisa komakhelwane.

Yhini ukuboph’ umthwalo ekuseni!
Yhini ukuba ngumhlolokazi ebutsheni!
Intlungu yon’ ibonw’ ebusweni bam,
Wonk’ ubani wenz’ umzekelo ngobomi bam.

Oh! Uhlekisile ngam Thixo ninokufa,
Nindenzile emhlabeni wakho nokufa.

Tlotlisang David Mhlambiso

He is 23 years old final-year BEd student at the University of the Free State and a published author of two books titled Ukuphuma Kwelanga and A Journey Worth the Ride. He has also co-authored more than 5 anthologies and a recently published international journal penned by different writers from across continents, Africa, America, Australia, Asia, and Europe. He is an award-winning essayer and has been honored and acknowledged by the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) as a National Trailblazer in the Education Sector for the year 2023, and has been awarded as the UFS EDSA Student of the Year 2023 due to his global footprint on African narratives. And has recently been selected as one of the 100 South Africa's Shining Stars for the year 2023.
